What is Agile?

Agile software development refers to a group of software development methodologies that promotes development iterations, open collaboration, and process adaptability throughout the life-cycle of the project. It follows iterative, incremental process for developing product and produces a potentially shippable set of functionality at the end of every iteration.

What is an iteration

Software developed during one unit of time is referred to as an iteration, which typically lasts from two to four weeks.

What are SCRUM, XP and IXP?

SCRUM, XP and IXP are commonly used agile methodologies. SCRUM is management based, XP is engineering based, and IXP is extension to XP.

What is a user story?

A user story is a very high-level definition of a requirement, containing just enough information so that the developers can produce a reasonable estimate of the effort to implement it.

What is a story point?

A story point is measured as an effort to implement a user story relative to a story which requires minimum effort. At Mortar we have set a 'minimum effort story point' to 2.5 pair hours.

What is TDD?

TDD means Test Driven Development. Testing user story before developing it.

My product development needs don't fit in both Shotgun and Howitzer.

Please drop us an email at contact@mortarsystems.com with brief description of your needs. We will do our best to derive a model as per the needs.

I would like to discontinue the development on my product.

We follow a simple pay-as-you-go per iteration payment model. You can discontinue our service at the end of any iteration.
